About the Meetings

The Lake Murray Association hosts four meetings each year. One in each the counties surrounding Lake Murray (Lexington, Saluda, Newberry, & Chapin). The meetings are a great opportunities for members to gather and hear up to date information from speakers knowledgeable about Lake Murray and topics of interest! We hope you will attend one soon!

The LMA 2023 1st Quarterly Meeting
 
We had a very informative and well attended meeting in Saluda County at the Hollywood Ruritan Club  on:
 
When: Tuesday March 21st at 6:30pm
 
Our main guest speaker was: Kelly Lowry – from Lowry and Associates, LLC – attorney acting as trustee of the funding for the Lake Conestee Dam Restoration Project. His presentation on the history, studies, and political aspects of the danger that Lake Conestee presents is very concerning.
 
Representative:  Cal Forest and Senator Billy Garrett were also present and gave an update on the situation facing our state government officials in regards to this. 
 
We appreciate their time!  Saluda County Sheriff Josh Price also attending and spoke as well as Billy Chastain and Ray Ammarell of Dominion Energy.
