On February 17th 2023, the LMA decided to join in the 9th annual Lexington County Chili Cookoff at the Icehouse Amphitheatre in Lexington.  Money raised from the events is given to local charities.    Members Bill Lafayette and Lisa Faria gathered in kitchens to create about 22 gallons of chili to enter in the event.  We got an opportunity to share our chili and spread the word about our great organization to roughly 2000 chili eating fans!   LMA also took home 2 trophies that day – 2nd Place in the Non-Traditional Chili category and 3rd Place in the traditional.    Overall, it was a ton of fun.  We hope to see you there next year!
